English to Spanish Translator
Jorge was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, which borders El Paso, Texas. As a child, Jorge moved with his parents to El Paso, bringing about his first experience with the English language. He attended school in El Paso where he learned about American culture and mastered the English language.
In 1995, Jorge met an English teacher who, after learning that he was fluent in English, asked him to teach English to employees from local manufacturing plants. For over 40 years, low wages, infrastructure and a strategic geographic location have made the metropolitan border area of Ciudad Juarez and El Paso an important manufacturing hub between the United States and Mexico.
On his first day as an English teacher, a job that lasted only a few weeks, Jorge was asked to translate materials from English into Spanish using an old typewriter. That was in 1995, and was just the beginning of a very long and successful career as an English to Spanish translator.
Jorge’s fields of expertise are mainly technical, as he previously worked as an automotive technician at his family’s automotive service shop where he became familiar with mechanical, automotive and electrical systems. He is also very knowledgeable in business management and marketing-related fields that he studied at the university.
