English to Brazilian Portugese Translator
Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, a few steps from Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, Andrea firmly believes in the power of salt water. She spent her childhood and later raised her two kids, surfing in that salt water. For Andrea, one of the greatest benefits of a career as a translator is being able to fit in a quick stop at the beach in the middle of the afternoon, even if it means working later at night in order to get all the work done.
Besides the sea, Andrea’s other passions in life are traveling and reading. She has visited more than 35 countries and has also lived in the U.S. as an exchange student when she was 16 years old and in the U.K. as a young adult.
Because Andrea has always been fascinated by other cultures, she started learning other languages, including French and Italian, in addition to English and her native Brazilian Portuguese, very early in life. Following her passion for learning about other cultures,
Andrea earned a bachelor’s degree in translation and linguistics and later became an ATA-accredited English to Brazilian Portuguese translator, specializing in IT and marketing.
